Hi,
I have configured OpenSCADA 0.8.0.9 as an OPC UA server to run under Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I am trying to use Inductive Automation's Ignition OPC UA Client HMI to operate with the OpenSCADA server; however, there seem to be a couple of problems:

1. Although, Ignition is able to make an OPC UA connect to OpenSCADA, and read tag values, it isn't able to subscribe to any tags. Does OpenSCADA support subscriptions as required by Ignition?

2. It seems that the OPC UA connection between Ignition and OpenSCADA is not left persistently/permanently open (it seems to disconnect following a transaction) and it does not properly clean-up these connections after a failure. Does OpenSCADA leave these connections permanently open as required by Ignition?

If you would like to verify or investigate this behavior further, you can obtain an evaluation copy of Inductive Automation's Ignition here:

https://inductiveautomation.com/downloads

I greatly appreciate your advice and assistance.

Thanks,
Philpol

Use Work (0.9) version for tested operation with different OPC UA clients or wait for LTS 0.8.0.10, but Publish service here will not work already by OpenSCADA API significant changes into Work version, for like asynchronous OPC UA services.

Hi, I also need to configure my personal computer with Ubuntu to make it a fast processing machine, I have already checked and ordered the required adapters, USB switches, controllers, etc. Kindly make an explanatory video tutorial to configure it properly.
