Hello

I am a student that want to connect a PLC to openscada through modbus rtu protocol.
but i have a problem in "Transports" module.
when i build a new input or output transport in "serial interfaces" of the "transports" module, there is an item that called "timings".
i read quickguid, modbus rtu and serial documents of openscada, but i didnt know how to fill timing item.
for example i don't know, for 9600 bit/s speed and 8E1 communication, how is the timing item calculated? ( ?:? )

please tell me some information about timing calculations in serial interface or introduce me a suitable reference guide.

Thanks a lot

After field "Address" any change the field "Timings" will set automatic according to the speed value. Next is only tune to real device response time for first number and about second number detailed here: http://wiki.oscada.org/HomePageEn/Doc/Serial#h877-6

Learn, learn and learn better than work, work and work.
