Hello,

I notice that OSCADA has an OPC UA server (as well as OPC UA client) and also can communicate with PLCs using Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP.

It appears to me that OSCADA can be a very nice option as an OPC UA server (for example to serve Data from the PLC (Modbus) to an ERP system (like SAP or Idempiere) or other OPC clients using the OPC UA server feature..

1) Will it work as proposed? (I mean, using it only as an OPC UA server to outer world and not using other internal SCADA functions)
2) Do you have any recommendations or restrictions?

I appreciate very much any information you may provide!

All the best,

Fochi

Sure and that directly described in the OpenSCADA functions and characteristics.

All the specific and restrictions wrote in the module document and in ToDo.
