Hi Roman

I'm really interested in using an external OPC server and connecting it to the OpenSCADA. In the new release of OpenSCADA (8.0.10), is it possible or not?

For now OpenSCADA 0.8.11 is releasing and the feature as base present from the implement start, and from the ChangeLog you can see like:
DAQ.OPC_UA.LibOPC_UA: LibOPC_UA fix for secure policies for different client's and server's keys size.
Tested for OpenSCADA Client + OpenSCADA Server, OpenSCADA Client + IgnitionOPC_UA, UAExpert + OpenSCADA Server,
testOPC_UA + OpenSCADA Server, testOPC_UA + IgnitionOPC_UA.

Hi

I used OpenSCADA 0.8.11 and tried to connect Kepserver as an external OPC server.
As you said, it was possible and I could see attributes of parameters.
But there is a problem when I want to write attributes and change their values.
Parameters (tags) have readable and writable access and I can change their value by UaExpert (as an OPC client),
but it is n't possible in OpebSCADA 0.8.11.
Is it the limitation of OPC UA module in this version or if it's not true, how can I solve this problem?

Thanks a lot for your attention.
Best Regards

For me writing work fine and see for check that to allowed connection with OpenSCADA OPC_UA Server into DemoDB.
See to "OPC UA" session traffic by WireShark for the problem reason detect.

Hi
I used OpenSCADA update 12 and then check OPC UA connection again. But unfortunately I can't write tags. :roll:
Settings are shown in the attached picture.
Please tell me some advise to solve the problem.

Thanks a lot for your attention.

Sure, from update 10 here no significant changes made.

What advice you wait from me if I have not like OPC-UA server? And what I must see from your screen picture?
Actually that you work for observing the problem, then:
- configure single write-able node's value for acquisition into OpenSCADA;
- write "OPC UA" session traffic by WireShark from the OpenSCADA acquisition controller's object start;
- send me the session traffic as *.pcapng file.

But mostly I think you need set proper user and password for allow to writing here, or security policy! Compare the settings with UAExpert work configuration.
And where your client's Certificate and Private key? That is wonder as the client works at all without the certificate and private key!
